About this Girl

Hello!  My name is Lindsey and I am a professional photographer/business owner in Milford, Ohio (about 20 minutes from the Cincinnati metro area.)  I have 2 of THE most amazing little boys, a techy-nerd husband (formally known as my high school sweetheart,) 2 dogs (which could be considered small horses,) a cat, 2 sugar gliders, a bunny, and a bearded dragon.

My obsession with photography started when I was handed my very first (Fisher-Price) camera at the ripe old age of 7.  Every image that came out of that 110mm film was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! From the extremely dark (because I used all of my flashes) indoor shots to the ultra-grainy gravel pictures.  I knew this was something that I needed to focus on (pun, somewhat intended) in life.

Snapshots remained a constant and the cameras were upgraded as I grew. Then, my grandmother gave me my first SLR for my 16th birthday.  It was a shiny, new Canon from their brand new model line: the Rebel.  That got me through my high school photography classes and a few college courses.  Eventually, I upgraded to the Canon Elan and along with a couple of additional classes, began my trek into portrait sessions.  All the while, working in a photo lab and alongside some very talented local photographers.

My first DSLR came in the form of a Canon 20d.  And the rest is in my portfolios.

When I was deciding on a name, I knew I didn’t want the “Insert Name’s Photography” title.  It took me a while, but I finally decided that the word ‘eclectic’ nicely described what I did.  So, while completely ignoring how obnoxious it would be to spell out my company name over and over again, I named my business: Eclectically for You Photography.  The title received it’s LLC tail during the Winter of 2011.

That’s basically me without getting all personal-ad like.
