The annual butterfly show at the Krohn Conservatory opened this past weekend! This year’s theme is not about a particular region, but from all over the globe.
Saturday was their grand opening and to celebrate, they invited people/kids to wear their butterfly wings for a quick mini-shoot. I was invited by another local photographer to help out for the first 2 hours of coverage. Saturday’s forecast was less than ideal: lower 50s for the high, mixed with rain. It was beautiful! (please catch the sarcasm there)
We photographed outdoors, under a white canopy, just out of the rain’s reach. In total I photographed 15 winged children.
I take my son to the show every year and highly recommend. If you can swing it, definitely go on a weekday. It is packed regardless; but packed to capacity on the weekends.
