Kendra + Branden

December 11th, 2022. My last wedding of the year. We almost had snow. Ended up with a little sprinkle of rain, with a smidge of sunshine.

The last time I was at the Manor House, I was attending a friend’s wedding as a guest. I sat in the Atrium, watching my friends exchange vows, thinking, “man, what a perfect space to be a photographer in.” 20 years later, it was my time to shine!

Kendra and Branden. What a beautiful couple. I met Branden a few years back, while photographing his brother’s wedding. His family was incredibly welcoming back then, so I knew I would be in good company this time around as well. Kendra and I met for the first time only a few weeks ago; but when she walked in, decked out in Christmas flare, I knew that we would get along just fine. The two together made for some great photo opportunities. (Pulp Fiction fans take note: they nailed their introduction.) Their excitement for the day and their love for each other was screamingly obvious from the moment I met up with them.

Nikki + Ryan

November 20th brought me right back to Rhinegeist Brewery for another November wedding. I’ve known the groom’s momma for years and had the privilege of shooting Ryan’s senior portraits several years ago. It was then that I met Nikki for the first time. This couple was super cute together back then, so I knew they’d be amazing on their wedding day!

Friday, November 11th was a little rainy as I drove down to Over the Rhine. More rainy than a “little,” if I’m honest. I’d loaded the clear umbrellas and resigned myself to shooting this wedding 100% indoors. And then it stopped.

I’ve known Rebecca and her family for several years and couldn’t wait to have the opportunity to capture such a wonderful day for her and her new husband. Two years ago, we met down in Over the Rhine for their Engagement Session. It was pretty awesome to return for their nuptials.

Jordan + Eric

It was a little rainy in Indiana on Saturday, October 2nd. The drive took a little longer than anticipated. But the day was basically perfect.

I know these people. These are some of my favorite people. The younger brother to my best friend; I’ve known this groom since he was a baby. I’ve known the bride for years. Not as many, but YEARS. We’ve all shivered our butts off at Kings Island’s Haunt. And more recently, braved one of those 95 degree, 100% humidity, beautiful (insert eyeroll) Cincinnati Summer days for some engagement portraits.

I am so honored to have been asked to photograph their big (finally) wedding day.

March 20th, 2021 was the official first day of Spring. It was a beautiful day. The weather could not be any better. Clear sky. 70 degrees. Perfect.

My neighbor turned 15 this week.

When I think back on previous birthdays, I cannot recall my 15th. I remember my yearbook picture from that year. I can remember the music I was listening to and the movies I was watching. But I cannot recall the event of my actual birthday (sorry Mom.) Now, my 16th… that one I remember. But I digress.

My neighbor, Natalie turned 15 this week. And this milestone is one that stick around in her memory for quite some time.  Her 15th is wrapped in Latin American traditions and celebrated with one heck of a party.

On Thursday evening, friends and family gathered to honor the birthday girl and celebrate Natalie’s quinceañera at the Marmalade Lily, in Loveland, Ohio.  Guests dined on Puerto Rican cuisine and birthday cake; raised their glasses to several heartfelt and anecdotal toasts from family members; and bore witness to the changing of her shoes. She had a close-knit court of friends, one gorgeous gown, and let me tell you about her Chucks!

The father-daughter dance was followed by a “Happy Birthday” singalong, a beautifully delivered speech from Natalie, and a choreographed number performed by her court. Oh! and another rendition of “Happy Birthday” for Natalie’s fellow court member/bestie that shares the same date.  It was a fun time for all.

Nicole + Mike

Saturday, October 24th was a rainy day, but that didn’t dampen Nicole and Mike’s big day!  I only had a few hours with these two; and I had a wonderful time capturing every moment.  Please enjoy some of the images from Nicole and Mike’s wedding day!

Diana + Shawn

July 4th, 2015. Independence Day. The first day of married life for Diana and Shawn.

Not only did I get to spend my day documenting their ceremonies and celebrations, but I was lucky enough to revisit the church I married my husband in almost 13 years prior.
